Our Process

There are no bells and whistles when it comes to traditionally roasting coffee beans. At Pin Shih, we simply follow a five-step process to guarantee perfection in every bean and satisfaction in every sip.

    Our fine selection of green coffee beans is put into the roaster, slowly dried until it turns into yellow with a distinctive smell.

    Upon their first crack, the beans double in size and turn light brown.

  • 3

    The beans crack for the second time and turn into medium-dark while being roasted.

  • 4

    We pause halfway through the second crack, transfer the beans to our wok and cook them with sugar.

  • 5

    After cooking the beans, they will be put on the cooling tray for further processing.
